Green W. Moore was born in Wilkinson County, GA abt. 1834 to Jesse and Xanthespia "Zanna" Moore. He enlisted in the Civil War Company E, 6 Regiment Florida Infantry as a Private on 9/7/1861. He returned home ill with disease and died there Jan. 30, 1862.

On this, the 24th day of March A.D. 1864 personally appeared before me, the subscriber, a Justice of he Peace in and for the county aforesaid, Jesse Moore who, after being duly sworn according to law, deposes and says that He is the father of Jesse T. Moore, deceased, who was a private of Captain H. O. Barrett's Company, Sixth Regiment of Florida Volunteers, commanded by Colonel J. J. Finley, in the service of the Confederate States in the present war with the United States: that the said Jesse T. Moore entered the service at Marianna in Jackson County and State of Florida, on or about the 25th day of March 1862, and died at Knoxville, Tennessee on or about the 1st day of January 1863, leaving no wife or children that he makes this deposition for the purpose of obtaining from the Government of the Confederate States whatever may have been due the said Jesse T. Moore at the time of his death for pay, bounty or other allowances for his service as private aforesaid: that he said Jesse T. Moore was born in the State of Georgia and died of disease or of wounds received in battle

And, on the same day and year, also appeared before me, a Justice of the Peace as aforesaid Henry D. Bright, who is well known to me, and whom I hereby certify to be a personal of veracity and credibility, who having been by me duly sworn, says on oath, that he is well acquainted with Jesse Moore, the claimant, and also well knew for ten years Jesse T. Moore, the deceased soldier herein mentioned, and that the statement made under oath by said Jesse Moore the claimant, as to his relationship to the aid deceased soldier is true and correct in every particular to the best of his knowledge and belief, and that he, the aid Henry A. Bright, is wholly disinterested .

I, F. M. Farley Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for said county, do hereby certify that Chas. E. Stone gentleman, before whom the foregoing affidavit of H. A. Bright and Jesse Moore appear to have been made, and whose genuine signature is subscribed thereto, was at the time of making and signing the same, a Justice of the Peace in and for the county and State aforesaid, duly commissioned and sworn, and to all whose official acts as such full faith and credit is and ought to be given, as well in Courts of Justice as thereout.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Circuit Court, this 30th day of March Anno Domini eighteen hundred and sixty three.
